Five members of the Bellator roster won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

Light heavyweight contender Phil Davis (20-5 MMA, 7-2 BMMA), welterweight Ed Ruth (7-1 MMA, 7-1 BMMA), flyweight Kate Jackson (11-3-1 MMA, 3-1 BMMA), middleweight Charlie Ward (7-3 MMA, 4-0 BMMA), and featherweight Pedro Carvalho (10-3 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) have all re-upped with the Bellator, a promotion official informed MMA Junkie.

Each fighter has signed an exclusive, multi-fight, multi-year extension.

Former UFC contender Davis signed with Bellator in 2015. Four fights later, he won the promotion’s 205-pound championship. In his first title defense in June 2017, Davis lost his crown to Ryan Bader at Bellator NYC. Since the loss, Davis has gone 4-1 and most recently defeated Liam McGeary via third-round TKO in April at Bellator 220.

One of the eight participants in Bellator’s recent welterweight grand prix, Ruth has won seven of his eight professional outings. His lone loss came in the grand prix quarterfinals against Neiman Gracie. The 30-year-old Brazilian defeated Ruth by fourth-round submission. In his most recent fight, Ruth defeated UFC veteran Kiichi Kunimoto by second-round TKO.

The only female fighter of the bunch, Jackson competed on season 23 of “The Ultimate Fighter.” While she lost in the tournament semifinals, it only took Jackson one additional regional fight to get picked up by Bellator. Entering her new deal, Jackson has won back-to-back fights against Anastasia Yankova and Lena Ovchynnikova.

Members of SBG Ireland, Ward and Carvalho are both undefeated in Bellator. After a winless stint in the UFC, Ward was picked up by Bellator in 2017. A close friend of Conor McGregor, Ward has won all four of his Bellator bouts by TKO. Ward will fight Pietro Penini (7-3 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) at Bellator 227 on Sept. 27.

Riding a five-fight winning streak, Carvalho will face Sam Sicilia (16-9 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) in the opening round of the featherweight grand prix at Bellator 226 on Sept. 7.
